August To Read

I've never done and official reading list before, so I only picked out a few books to read this month, as  I have no idea how well I'll be able to stick with it!

I'm already currently reading In The Woods, but I'm only about 2 chapters in, so I still included it. But the fact that I started it is progress.

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
In The Woods- Tana French
The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair- Joel Dicker
Between Shades of Gray- Ruta Sepetys

My real goal is to reduce how many unread books I own. As of right now I own 46 unread books, which is just unexceptable. The reason I hate having so many unread books is that when I first buy them I'm so excited to read them, but then I put them away for other titles, and I NEVER get tot them. This list is a real testament to that. I absolutely needed The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, that I paid full price for it. And then didn't read it...

I'm hoping to have 0 unread books by the end of the year, which shouldn't be too hard. I just have to start getting through my more thicker titles such as Game of Thrones.

Wish me luck!

July Favorites

To me, August always means the end of summer, so it feels so weird that August is already upon us. July was a fantastic month though, I moved apartments, settled into a new job, and went to Boston!

First, I've been loving the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black. I'm thinking about branching out a little in the eyeliner department. I'm definitely going to pick up the new Benefit They're Real Push-Up Eyeliner next chance I get.

For a few months now I haven't been wearing any foundation at all, but then I picked up Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte and it is so easy to use with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It gives me very low coverage, which is exactly what I want in this summer heat.

I bought Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara on a whim a few weeks ago because I was weirdly completely out of mascara and I ended up loving it! I have had a lot of luck with Maybelline Mascars (as most people) and I look forward to trying more of them!

I got Stella McCartney Summer Eau De Toilette for Christmas last year (they no longer sell it) and now this it's actually summer I have been wearing it all the time. I have also become a complete perfume maniac. I used to be a one-or-two-perfumes type of girl, but my sister has about 10-15 rollerballs and I'm so jealous of that diversity. I have a long wish list of fragrance alone!

I actually have two nail favorites this month. I've been very into taking care of my nails lately so I've been buying a few products here and there. Two of my favorites have been OPI Nail Envy and Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil. I have notices a huge difference in the quality of my nails and the longevity of my nail polish!

I've been breaking out so much lately so The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil has been a real savior. I prefer this more natural alternative to salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. It works really well, but I hate the smell! If anyone knows of any natural acne treatments that don't smell terrible, please please please let me know!

Also, can we please talk about how excited I am for the relaunch of Stella by Stella McCartney. Such such such beautiful bottles! I can't decide if I want the big bottle (to match my Stella Summer) or the small- both are perfection.
